Wesley Battson was raised in Oroville and attended CSU Chico.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Biology and also earned a Master’s in Business Administration.  

Wes has worked in permanent tree crops for the last 17 years.  He was primarily focused on almonds, walnuts, and also olive tree crops.  He worked locally for over a decade with Chico Nut company, however, most recently he led South Valley Farms as one of their general managers. In this position, Wes was responsible for the overall performance of a vertically integrated, matrix managed operation of 350 employees.  While there he led strategic and operational analysis processes for the organization focusing on people, safety and excellence.

Wes and his wife Andrea have three teenage children. They enjoy outdoor activities including backpacking, 4-H, and running. They are all looking forward to moving back up to the North State where both of their families still reside.
